Presentation Competition organized by GPYC-Nepal
  GPYC – Nepal conducted a presentation competition on the title “The Role of Nepalese Youth to Uplift the Nation from Third World to First World” at British Gurkha College, Maharajgunj, Kathmandu on 18th September 2011. Eight Competitors took part in the competition. They were ; Ms. Anisha Limbu, Ms. Sabina Rai, Mr. Kishor Thing, Mr. Anil Gurung, Mr. Bikash Rai, Mr. Anil Gurung, Ms. Gyatri K. C. and Mr. Sujan Shrestha. The judges were impressed with the overall quality of the entrants and the content of their presentations and awarded first prize to Sujan Shrestha with Kishor Ting being declared as the second position and Bikash Rai received the third place.The Judges were; Ramesh K. GPV Committee Support Unprivileged Students
Global Peace Volunteer Committee of Born Skylark Secondary School supported four unprivileged students of Active Secondary English School and Vinayak Secondary School by providing them with copies and pencils. The program was held to commemorate the auspicious occasion of Children’s Day (Bal Divas) on 15th September 2011.Each class performed dance and song during the program. The committee had collected a total cash amount of Seven hundred Rupees (NRS.700.00) fund through the generosity of some students who donated One Rupee (Rs 1) each day within twenty days. At the program, Mr. Dipak Panta, Chairperson of BSSS, Mr. Rabin Kafle, coordinator of BSSS and Mr. Goma Panta, Principal of BSSS spoke on children’s rights and volunteerism. They also encouraged the students to continue working for a good cause. Mr. Deepak Dewaly, GPV District Coordinator, gave a short speech about GPV introduction and children’s rights. 
Meeting with Vice President of Nepal Rt.Hon'ble Parmanand Jha
September 13 , 2011 GPYC-Nepal President met Rt. Hon'ble Parmanand Jha, Vice-President of Nepal and former Supreme Court Judge, at his residence in Lazimpat, Kathmandu. At the meeting, Mr. Dhruba Prasad Lamichhane, GPYC-Nepal President, gave a brief report of GPYC- Nepal activities. The Vice President appreciated the activities of GPYC-Nepal and encouraged the organization to work more for the betterment of the Nation. During the meeting there was a discussion regarding the present political, economic and socio-cultural situation of Nepal.  
One Day Global Peace Seminar
Global Peace Volunteer Committees gathered at GPYC-Nepal Office, Bansbari, Kathmandu on 10th September 2011.There were forty three students from seven schools around Kathmandu participated in One Day Global Peace Volunteer Seminar namely; Neighborhood Boarding High School, Mandikhatar, Jeevan Tara Academy, Arubari, Bouddha, Joseph International School, Hattigaunda, Kathmandu, Centinnial Secondary School, Jorpati, Kathmandu, Aum School, Budhanilkantha, Blue Bell English School, Shantinagar and Arunodaya Secondary School, Arubari Bouddha, Kathmandu. A Teacher from Blue Bell English School, Mr. Bivek Bhattarai attended the seminar as well. Lectures were given on topics ranging from GPYC Introduction by Mr. Thaneshwar Gauatam, GPV Introduction by Mr. Deepak Dewaly and “I can help” project by Mr. Bishwo Raj Kandel. Cleaning Project at Janakalyan Higher Secondary School
  GPYC- Nepal and Janakalyan H. S. School organized “Ground Cleanliness” program on September 5, 2011 at Mahankal, Bouddha, Kathmandu. Cleanliness is one main aspect to consider in rising on top where others may look up to as a model. Students were encouraged to maintain neat, tidy and clean so that they develop a good habit.   One hundred fifty participants including teachers, GPYC representatives and volunteers were gathered and set actions in cleaning the school’s campus. It was beneficial and learning experience for students, teachers and faculties who can contribute to the cleanliness of school and society at large.   Mrs. Narbada Pokharel, Principal of Janakalyan Higher Secondary School thanked GPYC and mentioned the advantages of the cleanliness program.
