One Day Seminar Held in Kavre
  18th November 2011 - Kavre      GPA-Nepal, GPYC-Nepal, and Shree Indrawoti Secondary School jointly organized a One Day Seminar entitiled “Ideal Family is the Foundation for Developing a Sustainable Peace” on November 18 in Kavre District. The seminar was attended by about 40 school staff, management committee, and local residents. The seminar recognized and promoted peace in Nepal through building Ideal Family and embodying the vision of “One Family Under God”.  
GPV Introduction Program in Pokhara
Pokhara -  The Secondary and Lower Secondary students from diverse ethnicity groups of Pokhara Kinder High School had an opportunity to gain knowledge about volunteerism and service work activities. The program, which was held on 18th November, 2011, was attended by more than 150 students who were enlivened by the vision of “One Family Under God”. Mrs. Kamala Pradan, head teacher of PKG High School, was so pleased to attend and  listen about this class together with all the students. The program was coordinated by Mr. Anil Panday , Project leader Kaski District.
GPYC-Nepal Organizes a Fundraising Event to Support Senior Citizen and Conflict Victim Children
A fundraising event was held on Friday, 18th November 2011, in support for the old men and women, and children of Aama ko Ghar.  The unconditional hard work was through the efforts of young motivated youths who collected a total amount of Eight Thousand One Hundred Fifty Seven Rupees (Rs 8,157) cash. During the fundraising time, these youths were all stirred up in approaching people because of their eagerness to help and support others.  The fund was handed over next day (Saturday 20th November) to Mrs. Dil Sobha Shrestha, founder of Aama ko Ghar .At present, there are 85 aged and conflict victim children sheltering at the same house where Mrs. Shrestha is staying. The house, which was given by her father, is now a home for homeless individuals. For more photos please click here
GPV Extended to Western Part of Nepal
Pokhara -  GPYC-Nepal Pokhara Chapter organized a One Day Character Education Seminar and Global Peace Volunteer (GPV) committee formation Program at Nobel International Academy on November 17, 2011.During the program, Mr. Anil Panday, Project leader of GPYC Kaski District presented a class about GPYC and GPV. Students were inspired by the vision of “One Family Under God”. Ms. Shrijana Shrees, appointed as President of the committee, expressed her feelings that if everyone could break the barrier of race, religion, nationality, and cast then peace can grow worldwide. Mr. Lal Bahadur Thapa, Founder Principal of the Academy, stressed the importance of respect in order to raise this world as one home. For more photo please click here 
One Day Sustainable Waste Management Program
  Securing the slogan “Dirt Itself Is Not Dirt Unless Misused or Misplaced It”, a waste management program was held at GPYC-Nepal office on Wednesday, November 16, 2011. Government of Nepal Ministry of local Development, Global Peace Association (GPA), and Global Peace Youth Corps-Nepal (GPYC-Nepal) jointly organized the program. The program highlighted the project of GPYC-Nepal “I Can Help” through various presentations such as Vermi-composting by Prof.Dr.Ananda Shova Tamrakar, Efforts of SWMTSC Nepal Government to Manage to Manage Sustainable Solid Waste by Dr. Er. Sumitra Amatya ,Environmnetal Class by Dr. Kishor K. Rajbhandari , GPYC-Nepal Introduction and Activities by Mr. Dhruba Prasad Lamichhane , Three Human Responsibilities by Mr. Kiran Chandra Sapkota , Global Peace Volunteer and its impact in Nepal by Mr. Deepak Dewaly . The program sought to promote the “I Can Help” project and to give awareness on sustainable waste management

Web Design Course

Starting From: 26th November 2016 (११ मङ्सिर २०७३) Day: Every Saturday Charges: Free of cost Time: 11:00am - 2;00pm Venue: GPYC Nepal, Hattigauda, Kathmandu, Nepal We’re living in a digital age and technology is reinventing the world. Hence learning to code is one of the smartest moves one can make in the present world (no matter what is the age). There is no such requirement to be a software engineer or a person who have degree in computer science to understand programming language. Anybody can code whether he/she is a student, accountant, doctor, actor or any other person. Nepcodemy in association with GPYC Nepal is organizing free web design course every Saturday starting from 26th November 2016 (११ मङ्सिर २०७३), 11:00am – 2:00pm at Hattigauda, Kathmandu, Nepal. At the end of the course one will understand HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap, Wordpress and will create own website. The main purpose of course is to encourage the youth to design the website of their own and make them stand in the frontier of new digital world. Quoting Steve Jobs ”Everybody in this country should learn to program a computer because it teaches you how to think”, we invite you to be part of our program for collaborative learning of programming skill.
