The term “Brain Drain” has come into limelight with the trend of educated and skilled people and workforce moving from one country to another to achieve career gains. The talent of such people as a result becomes available to the nation to which they relocate. Brain Drain is a main reason behind lacking of talents in country. The developing country like Nepal has been going through bad experience on Brain Drain.

Thus, the program begins with the vision to educate young minds over the major problem Brain Drain or Human Capital Flight.

The first part of the program was team work activities. This part paved the way to knowing each other and active participation.
Likewise,  the second part was presentation on “Brain drain”, the main highlight of this program. The presentation started with a simple introduction about brain. There were topics like history of brain drain, causes, push and pull factor being the main reasons for brain drain. Effects of youths going abroad in Nepalese economy were included.
The reason behind giving presentation first was to give idea about the topic. So they cloud actively participate in the discussion. Thus, the presentation was very effective as students were asking questions and participating with us. They understood the main idea about Brain Drain. The presentation lasted for 20 minutes. It finally ended raising few questions like:
“What Brain Drain is? Why is it a major trend? How is it affecting us and our economy? Who is responsible for this? Why it is every students dream to go abroad and study?”
Then the participants were brain storming about it. The next agenda was “Team Work Discussion on Brain Drain”. Here participants, were again grouped and then given 7 minutes of time to discuss the questions raised on brain drain.
They discussed on the possibilities and solutions for brain drain. Then, after that participants got opportunity to present their idea in front where lots of beautiful ideas like us youths should realize the importance to live and work in home country and the role of government for better economy.

The session was held longer than it was planned but it was worth as all the participants were very much interested to get involved in the discussion. All 5 groups choose one member and that member presented their view on the brain drain.
Some of them opinioned that, manufacturing industries rather than trade industries must be established to boost the economy of country. "I think the idea was thoughtful may be Nepal lack suitable environment to establish such industries. So, it has been impossible to establish one. But if such young minds are thinking of these ideas I believe it is possible that Nepal would one day be free from problems like Brain Drain, said Sanjeena Shrestha.

The following are highlighted bulletins that participants  emphasized:
• Quota system is necessary for backward community.
• Improving quality of universities equivalent to universities of Europe and US.
• Government should be able to provide better job opportunities.
• There should be suitable environment to establish business.
Youth should be more active to develop the nation.
